Chapter 203
Logan’s POV
Inside, the uncompleted building was dark, cold and lifeless. The lights in the building was dim, shadows against the concrete walls.
The air was thick, heavy with the scent of damp cement and steel. As we walked, two of my men stationed inside appeared from the shadows.
“Boss,” one of them greeted, standing at attention.
I gave a short nod. “Take us to him.”
They didn’t waste time, turning to lead the way deeper into the structure. The walk felt longer than it was, the silence stretching between us like a taut wire. My footsteps echoed faintly, a reminder of just how empty this place was.
Finally, we reached the room. A dim bulb hanging from the ceiling barely illuminated the space. The windows were sealed, trapping the stale air and darkness inside.
