Logan’s POV

“She’s actually going to the airport,” I muttered, more to myself than anyone else.

When I noticed that the route she had taken was a short cut to the airport.

For a fleeting moment, relief washed over me. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe this was exactly what she said it was…a trip to pick up our son.

But then, doubt crept back in. Was this a calculated move on her part? Had she somehow suspected my suspicion and planned accordingly?

“Boss,” one of my men said from the back seat, breaking my thoughts. “What do you want us to do? Follow her all the way?”

I hesitated, my mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

On one hand, I wanted to see this through, to confirm without a shadow of a doubt that she was telling the truth.

On the other hand, the very act of following her felt like a betrayal.
