Isabella’s POV

The faint sound of his slow, rhythmic breathing filled the space, and for a moment, I allowed myself to believe that everything was going to fall into place, just as I had planned.

But as I lay there beside him, pretending to be asleep, my mind was far from at rest. I had a million thoughts racing through my head. 

The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I needed to take action…soon. I had to make sure that Dani was out of the picture for good. 

I couldn’t let her come between Logan and me, not again. I needed to act quickly, but I couldn’t afford to make any mistakes.

Carefully, without disturbing him, I shifted in the bed, making sure to keep my movements as subtle as possible. I could feel Logan’s body heat beside me, his presence so close yet so far away.
