Isabella’s POV

There was no turning back now. The moment I made that call, everything would change. And I was ready for it.

As the phone began to ring, I thought to myself, This is the moment. Everything I’ve worked for, everything I’ve planned for, is about to fall into place. And nothing, not even Dani, will stand in my way.

The phone picked up, and I spoke, my voice low and steady. "I need your help."

Layla’s POV

Living in Jason’s house without Maddy feels like a weight I can’t quite shake off. It’s been a few weeks now, but the emptiness still hangs in the air, thick and suffocating. 

It’s strange how one person can leave such a huge gap in your life. I didn’t realize how much Maddy filled the space until she wasn’t here anymore. 

Now, the house feels more quiet, colder somehow. It’s almost like everything I touch, everything I look at, is missing something.
