Chapter 431
Dani’s POV
The air was damp and heavy, clinging to my skin as I stirred awake.
Darkness surrounded me, thick and impenetrable, with only the faintest trace of light seeping through the cracks of what felt like a door.
My head hits, my body sluggish, as though I’d been drained of every ounce of strength. My wrists ached, bound tightly with something coarse and unyielding.
I couldn’t move much, and every shift I made caused a sharp jolt of pain in my shoulders.
I blinked rapidly, trying to adjust to the dimness, but the room offered no answers. Where the hell was I?
The last thing I remembered… I had been leaving Logan’s penthouse.
My heart raced as fragmented memories clawed their way back into my mind. It had been a normal morning…or so I thought. I had spent hours packing up my gear, laptops, hard drives, wiring kits, and the rest of my tools.
