Dani’s POV

I couldn’t see their face, couldn’t make out any details, but their presence was enough to send a fresh wave of fear coursing through me.

“What do you want?” I asked, my voice shaking despite my best efforts to sound strong.

The figure remained silent, their movements slow and deliberate as they approached me.

I didn’t know who they were or what they wanted, but one thing was clear: I was in deep, and there was no telling how far this would go.
