Chapter 497

Isabella’s POV

Before I could answer, my phone rang in my lap. My hands trembled as I unlocked it, and the message on the screen made my blood run cold:

"I already gave Carol your address, so deal with it."

It was from an unknown number, but I didn’t need to guess who had sent it. Jason. That conniving, backstabbing... I couldn’t even finish the thought as panic consumed me.

My grip on the phone tightened as I read the message over and over, the words blurring together. 

My chest felt like it was being crushed under the weight of realization. Jason had done it. He had given her my address.

“Isabella, what’s going on?” Logan’s voice cut through my spiraling thoughts.

I snapped my head up, forcing myself to appear calm. “Nothing,” I said quickly. Too quickly.

His eyes narrowed. “You’re pale. Who’s that woman?”
