Isabella’s POV

As soon as the car pulled away, I let out a shaky breath, my facade crumbling. My phone buzzed again, and this time, I couldn’t ignore it. I pulled it out and saw another message from Jason:

"You can’t run from this forever. Carol won’t stop, and neither will I."

I clenched my teeth, my grip tightening on the phone. Jason was enjoying this…watching me squirm, pushing me closer to the edge.

The car arrived back at the house, and I hurried inside, dismissing the staff with a curt wave. I needed to think, to figure out my next move before everything came crashing down.

I paced the living room, my mind racing. Carol had shown up at the gate. Logan was growing suspicious. Jason was breathing down my neck. It was all spiraling out of control, and I was running out of time.

I sank onto the couch, burying my face in my hands. What was I supposed to do? Giving up Damien wasn’t an option. He was my anchor, the on
