Layla’s POV

I glanced around the room, and that’s when I noticed them…tiny petals scattered on the floor, forming a delicate trail leading out of the ward. 

My smile widened, and I couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

“This man,” I whispered to myself, shaking my head.

Jason had a way of making even the simplest moments feel magical. I looked at the bassinet again, ensuring my baby was still peacefully asleep. 

The nurse had just checked on us earlier, so I knew he would be fine for a few minutes.

I followed the trail, each step making my heart race with expectations. The petals were a mix of red and white roses, their fragrance faint but comforting. 

They led me out of the ward and into the hallway, and I couldn’t help but glance around, wondering if anyone else had noticed.

The hospital corridor was quiet, and the petals continued, guiding me further down. I smiled to myself, imagining Jason’
