Isabella’s POV
There was a brief pause on the other end before he responded. "Yes. Jason and Layla’s friend—uh, Maddie—just left the ward about ten minutes ago. They’re no longer in the hospital."
The corner of my lips tugged upward into a small, malicious smile. Perfect. The fewer people around, the easier this would be.
"Good," I said, keeping my voice steady. "Then it’s time to start the plan. Make sure everything is in place. I’m heading to the hospital now."
"Understood, ma’am," the man replied before the line went dead.
I tossed the phone onto the passenger seat and started the engine. The soft purr of the car felt almost soothing, but my thoughts were anything but calm.
