I didn't say anything else, just watched her as she tried to wake herself up completely.

And as I did, one thought settled in my mind.

Now that we had landed, I wasn’t going to let her slip away so easily.

The moment she fully came to, blinking up at me with those familiar eyes, I couldn’t stop myself.

“Come with me,” I said, the words leaving my mouth before I had a chance to think them through.
