Layla’s POV
Then I snapped out of my thoughts as I remembered that I was still in a cab with Maddie, when Maddie waved a hand in front of my face, her brows raised in curiosity.
"You okay? You just totally zoned out on me," she said, watching me closely.
I cleared my throat, quickly shaking my head. "Yeah! Yeah, I’m fine. Just… tired from the flight."
Maddie narrowed her eyes suspiciously before smirking. "Mhm. Sure. Or… maybe there’s something else on your mind?"
My blush deepened. "Shut up," I muttered, nudging her.
She laughed, clearly enjoying herself as we stood there waiting for our cab.
