Logan’s POV
The nurse pulled on a pair of latex gloves, the snap of the rubber against her skin barely audible over the soft hum of the fluorescent lights above.
She reached for a small bottle of antiseptic, unscrewing the cap with practiced ease before pouring a generous amount onto a sterile cotton pad.
“This might sting a little,” she warned, her voice calm and professional.
I watched as she pressed the pad against the wound, the cool liquid biting into my skin like a fresh spark of fire. I barely flinched, but a slight wince betrayed me for a fraction of a second.
The wound wasn’t deep, just a mark from when Layla had clung onto me during takeoff, but it was enough to warrant attention.
