Logan’s POV
I needed to cool off. I needed to get my head back in the game.
I pushed myself up, my legs wobbling as I stood. My body protested, aching from the workout, from the fight, from days without rest. But I ignored it, my steps steady as I walked back to my room.
The hot water hit my skin, scalding, soothing. I stood under the spray, letting it wash away the sweat, the blood, the tension. But it couldn’t wash away the guilt. The regret.
I braced my hands against the cold tiles, my head bowed as the water cascaded down my back. Dani’s face flashed through my mind again, his grin, his sharp eyes.
I’d kicked him out. I’d thrown him away, all because of Isabella. Because I’d been stupid enough to believe her lies.
A growl escaped my throat, low and rough, echoing off the bathroom walls. I slammed my fist against the tiles, the pain sharp, grounding.
