Chapter 720

Maddie's POV

I bit my lip, the gears in my mind turning. If this Mr. Handsome really was Logan… then he must have figured out that Layla lost her memories. 

That would explain everything…why he was suddenly interested, why he was pursuing her so hard. He wanted her back, knowing she wouldn’t remember all the pain he’d caused her.

The thought made my blood boil. If he was trying to worm his way back into her life, I would make sure he didn’t succeed. I wouldn’t let him hurt her again. Not after everything she went through because of him.

But I couldn’t act on suspicion alone. I needed to be sure. I couldn’t risk sabotaging Layla’s happiness just because I had a bad feeling.

My heart skipped a beat as a plan started to form in my mind. Layla said he was coming to pick her up for the date tonight. 

That was my chance. If he showed up, I would see him for myself. I would finally know whether or not this man was really Logan.
