Chapter 115

Maxine’s POV

The next morning, when I woke up, thoughts about the attack at the safe house at the festival in Crimson Rivers pack, filled my mind. I still hadn't heard if the person who was responsible had been caught.

Even thought I had been spending a lot of time talking to Liam about things, I still didn't know a lot. It was mostly because I didn't ask the right questions.

One thing that bothered me the most was my inability to shift. It crawled over my walls and landed itself on my insecurity. I wanted to ask Liam if there was a way to forcefully awaken my woldes.

I was desperate, yes. Even though it had been at the back of my mind and truly didn't care. I still so wanted to be able to shift. It was dampening my mood for the rest of the day but I decided to focus on the fact that tomorrow was my off day and I could do whatever I wanted.

It helped for most of the time. After my shift, I clocked out for the day and headed to my house.
