Liam's POV

"You'll be starting training tomorrow," I announced. "I want you to be ready by dawn."

Her eyes widened even further, and I could see a spark of happiness amidst her shock. "Training, Master? Are you serious?" I saw a mixture of disbelief and surprise.

"Yes," I said, keeping my tone stern. "You'll be joining the others. Wear appropriate clothing and be prepared for rigorous exercises. I won't tolerate any slacking."

"Thank you, Master," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "I won't let you down."

I nodded curtly. "See that you don't. Now, leave and get some rest. You'll need it."

She bowed slightly before turning to leave, and I could still see the mixture of surprise and happiness in her eyes. As she walked out, I couldn't help but think about Kris's words. This was Maxine's chance to prove herself. Whether she succeeded or not, time would tell.
