Liam's POV

"How did you find this out?" I asked.

"I caught a whiff of her scent. It was everywhere. She must have been walking a while and worked up a scent. I recognized it and I tracked it to where she lived." He explained.

So, it was my fault then. I should have dropped her at the fcking building. Now bastards like him could find her by her scent.

"I'm telling you, Maxine is bad news. You have to throw her out of your pack. You have to do what's right." Alpha Gerald continued.

"Why are you so concerned about someone so insignificant?" I asked. "It just feels like you're obsessed with her."

His ears began to turn red. He cleared his throat, clearly embarrassed. "Nonsense. That girl thought I would choose her for a mate right after she failed to awaken her wolf. It was such a funny sight. She had how that I would still choose the weakest member of the pack."
