Chapter 10
Killian turned to watch his son leave, and I took the chance to pull all the wires off my body and rip the IV out of my arm.
“Fuck,” I said as I started to bleed.
Killian turned to me after Adal was gone and growled disapprovingly. He grabbed my arm and applied pressure to it to stop the bleeding.
“Do not be an idiot,” he scolded me.
I sat quietly for a moment as he tended to my arm. I watched him as he focused on my arm. A fresh scar went down his face and over his left eye. It was the first scar ever to mark his face, so it was striking to see.
Killian unexpectedly glanced up at my face, and our eyes locked. His dark brown eyes swirled with emotion that I was unable to read. All I could do was flinch as he abruptly reached out and grabbed a fistful of hair at the back of my head. He yanked my head back roughly, exposing my neck to him.
“H-hey!” I cried out in protest, confused as he was suddenly focused on my neck. “What are you doing?” I protes
