"It's our last night together, and I would find it very polite if you knew how to behave," Kendra asked, trying to stifle the chatter and confusion that the boys caused at our table. “Seriously... Whose idea was it to want the boys to sit together with our family?"
"The whole school is practically on our desk," said Alexa, giggling at her baby's boyfriend and father who remained neutral in all the fuss. "It won't be long before someone expels us."
By my side, Edward remained serious. He didn't laugh at any jokes. He didn't talk when they didn't talk to him. And I had the feeling that he seemed ready to want to question me about William choosing the chair on my other side instead of joining friends at the far end.
