Chapter 78. Of Plans and Aspirations

Everyone turned to see Zar striding inside the hall wearing a different tunic and trousers—all black. It seemed his clothes matched his mood because his eyes shone with fury as he advanced further inside the hall and stood directly in view of everyone. He looked at a space in front of them as his eyes took on a shiny hue and misted over. It was obvious he was relieving the past. 

But, oh what a past. 

As he opened his mouth to weave a tale of horror, so rife and gory, Germaine could not help but clutch onto the edges of the table. Long ago, the home of the goblins was based inside the heart of the forest and they lived in peace with all other species of animals. They had a celebration of the coming of age, as was customary amongst goblins when they reached a certain age.

All the goblins were present, including the newly mated ones. They had barely started the celebration when a loud noise rent the air sending fear through everyone. No one had
