Chapter 6
"Wait a minute. You won't get very far with that." I was the target of his roar. I swiftly advanced, placed my hand on his shoulder, and flipped him over so that he was lying on his back.
When I had my foot on his throat, I said, "Don't play with powers you don't understand," and I continued to press it there.
I watched as his fangs elongated and the color of his eyes changed as he approached me.
I watched him move his hands, but he was moving far too slowly. I shifted my weight to my other foot and stamped heavily on his shoulder. The pressure from my heel pushing into the bone was sufficient to cause it to fracture.
