Chapter 10
I am aware that Katty was repeatedly roused from her sleep, but I was unable to observe her in any of those instances. The fact that Cedric does not recognize me is not something that comes as a surprise to me. Now that I've dyed my hair black, people think I'm a vampire. In addition to that, a significant amount of time has passed. It is imperative that I prevent him from recalling anything for as long as I possibly can. In comparison to Leon, he only talked to me a few times before. That life took place more than 500 years ago, and there is nothing from it that is significant enough to be remembered.
Even though I haven't laid eyes on my lord in countless ages, I have a sneaking suspicion that he'll emerge from his slumber very soon. Even though he was a horrible person, I looked up to him as a father figure. He spared my life. Why? I have no idea, but he did, and I will always be grateful to him. To the best of my knowledge, he did not accept any other apprentices but me.
