Chapter 31
At five o’clock in the morning, Catherine took Erlin and her mother to Jollibee for breakfast. As the eatery in the neighborhood would start to serve food at six, she had no choice but to proceed to the nearest fast food that was open for twenty-four hours.
“Lin, there’s a vacant seat over there. Go and wait for me, I’ll just order something to eat.” Catherine didn’t bother to ask them what kind of food they would prefer to eat because it was their first time to be in the fast food and for sure they would just let her choose.
Catherine ordered three breakfast chicken joys with hot choco as their drinks, then she carried the tray with their food in going to their table. “Here,” she put down the plate with chicken and rice, then she gave the tray to one of the crews who passed by their table. “I ordered spicy chicken because it’s more delicious,” she said. Anyway, they were all used to adding chili to their food while in the province.
