I asked to leave shortly after Jake's explanation. I'm surprised at myself, honestly. I used to watch crime documentaries with such a morbid fascination, and I always thought I'd love to visit an actual, real-life crime scene. Yet here I am, presented with that very situation... and my skin is crawling, and I can't get away fast enough.

The fact that I have no evidence that anyone committed a crime here doesn't seem to matter. My brain is firing warning signals at me, begging me to flee. It looks suspicious, with the ropes and chains, and the weird Latin phrase painted on the wall, and that's enough.
