Well, not disappeared, because that would be ridiculous. Despite Oakton's best efforts to drag me into its craziness, I'm still clinging to my grip on reality. So what I mean to say is that he's trying to disappear. He's almost running back up the trail towards the farm, desperate to get away from me.
I should go after him. I have no damn clue where that whole thing came from, but he's clearly upset about something, and it's probably not the best idea to let him go running off back to the little shop of horrors through the woods. Especially not alone.
But Jake isn't my problem and, honestly, I'm pissed at the way he just acted. Who does he think he is, judging my relationship with my brother? My blood boils as I replay his words in my head, and it only intensifies with every step he takes in the opposite direction.
