Chapter 4
He moves his hand, turning the phone so that it’s facing the window and away from my prying eyes. Except, the weather is turning dull and overcast the further north we drive, and the backseat of the car, with its tinted windows, is only dimly lit. The screen easily reflects off the glass, and I squint at it to make out the name, rolling my eyes as! read it: Ethan. Eli follows my gaze, spots the reflection, and curses under his breath.
“You're so nosy.” He grumbles, and I shrug.
“Told you it wasn’t a girl,” I smirk, and I catch Rachel’s amused expression in the rearview mirror.
