Rose’s POV

The sun was just starting to rise, its warm, golden light slowly spreading over the camp.

I stood at the edge of the forest, lost in my thoughts, my mind thinking about everything that had happened and everything that was about to come.

Today was another big day, and I knew what I had to do. But that didn’t make it any easier.

As I stared out at the space, I heard footsteps behind me. Turning around, I saw Alpha Kanen, Joe, and Raph walking toward me. Their faces were serious, showing the tough decisions we had made.

The realization that we were about to go our separate ways made my heart ache.

Alpha Kanen reached me first. His eyes met mine, filled with concern. “Rose,” he said gently, “are you ready?” he asked me.
