Rose’s POV

“Rose?”

I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes. The light was a bit too bright, and I simply placed a palm on forehead to block the worst of the lights. Oh, Moon Goddess!

“Can you see me?”

I turned towards my right, completely sure that the voice was coming from there, and that was the exact place it was. At first, everything was hazy, and then, I could make out Bella as she tried to peer her eyes close to me.

I jumped back in fright.

“Calm down, babe. It’s me,” she said softly.

I placed a hand on my chest to stop the fear from going overboard. I tried to move my lips to speak, but it was as though it was gummed together. Ugh! This was bad.

Trying once more, I succeeded in opening my mouth. “What happened to me?” I managed.
