Alpha Kanen’s POV

“What do you have for me?” I asked at once.

The guard rose his head slightly. “Rose is fine now, and there is no need to be worried anymore. She has gone back to her duties and she has handled things with finesse. I believe she is in a topnotch condition,” he added.

I frowned, not quite believing that this was the case. I have known her for quite some time, and I understood that she was sometimes in a bad state of mind, and pretty aggressive. Yet, I couldn’t bring it upon myself to make such a comment. It would be in bad taste.

“Leave!” I snapped.

The guard bowed once more and did as I had said. I waited to be sure that he had gone farther than where I had requested and then rose to my feet.
