Alpha Kanen’s POV
It had been almost two days since anyone had seen Rose, and the serious worry in me had only grown with each passing hour.
I tried to push the fear aside, tried to focus on anything else, but it was useless.
The thought of Rose out there, alone, without any sign or word, kept disturbing me, refusing to let go.
I’d paced around camp countless times, going over the problem at hand, I haven’t seen Rose since the past almost few days.
Maybe she had just lost track of time, or perhaps she had taken a longer route back to avoid trouble.
But deep down, I knew those were just excuses to keep myself from facing the worst thinking and imagination.
I stopped in front of my quarter, running a hand through my hair as I struggled to think clearly.
