Rose’s POV

The air ceased. The ghost hovered in front of us, it’s scary eyes fixed on me, its shadow stretching across the ground like a black stain.

I could feel the tension in the air as Alpha Kanen, Joe, Raph, and Andrew stood in a circle, their faces hardened in concentration.

They were trying everything in their power to defeat the ghost, using their dark abilities.

Black energy crackled between their fingers, but none of it seemed to work.

The ghost was…playing with us.

No matter how much power they threw at it, the ghost barely flinched. Instead, it floated lazily in the air, almost like it was amused by their attempts.

“Nothing is working!” Raph shouted in frustration, wiping the sweat off his forehead. “We’re only wasting time!” he shouted to us.

Kanen’s jaw tightened. “We have to keep trying. There has to be a way.” he said to his men.
