Rose’s POV

I stood there, staring at Alpha Kanen, my heart pounding in my chest.

The weight of everything was crushing me—this terrible decision, the ghost, and now, the man I loved standing in my way.

My mind was spinning, my emotions all tied up inside me, but I knew what I had to do.

I couldn’t let them all die just to save me.

“Kanen, let me go,” I said, my voice trembling, but he stood firm.

His dark eyes locked onto mine, filled with anger and pain. “No,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. “I won’t let you.” he was already angry, his voice showed it.

“Why are you being so stubborn?” I snapped, my frustration bubbling over. “This is the only way to save everyone!” I shouted as I tried convincing him.

He shook his head, his jaw tight. “There has to be another way, Rose. You’re not sacrificing yourself. I won’t allow it.” he said painfully.
