Rose’s POV

At this moment, I’m desperately trying to fight my emotions, even harder than ever. I know I’m falling for the Alpha, and I can’t even deny it anymore.

Each time I think about how much I’ve been treated, I try to dissuade myself from loving him or even having anything romantic to do with him but it doesn’t work.

No matter the effort I put into it, it wasn’t working out. I still thought about him at any convenience I had. At my meal table, at my baths, even my moments at the library, I was thinking about Alpha Kanen and how the other night went. He had gotten close to me, his gaze focused on my lips.

I tried to lessen the moment by pulling away, but it had gotten pretty intense. He brought his lips closer to mine till the point that I could taste it. I refused to lean in, and I turned my head, his lips rested clumsily on my cheek. I stood up and told him I wanted to leave.
