Alpha Kanen’s POV

I realize it’s been a while since I spoke to my wolf Darlington. Now in the solemnity of my room, I talk to him, telling him about my human feelings.

“Every time I see her I don’t know what to feel,” I say to him and almost immediately I know the response I would get from him. He was always factual and didn’t play down on words, or edit the truth to fit my feelings.

“You should remember that you are human and you should embrace your feelings,” Darlington says. I know this is not the first time he’s saying this to me.

I know I should embrace my human feelings, but she makes me weak and vulnerable. Even when I make resolutions on how to behave when I see her, I still go back on them when my eyes set up on her. I don’t know what to do. I am the Alpha of my pack and I shouldn’t be found vulnerable at any point.
