Chapter 51
I fluttered my eyes as the breeze from the window brushed through my face, and a surge of anger and irritation washed over me like a tidal wave. I stood up from the bed in annoyance wondering who dared to leave my window open.
“Guards!’ I called out the guards that usually stand in front of my door.
“Yes, my lord ” they replied in uniform as they ran into the room bowing their head to me.
“What took you so long to answer my calls!” I yelled at them angrily.
“Sorry, my lord, I didn't hear you called for us earlier” one of the guards dared to reply.
“How dare you talk back at me, you are fired!” I barked at the guard who replied. “Leave my sight this instance” I added. I could see the fear on his as he ran out of the room immediately.
“I am so so sorry my lord,” the other guard who was already whimpering in fear apologized bowing his head again.
“Who dares to leave my window open?” I asked ignoring his apologies.
