Chapter 68
I sat on the bed momentarily as I could not understand what he had said. He does not know why he has not killed me yet. I thought. Why has he held me and my baby captive? I kept asking myself the question without getting an answer. My heart raced fast as I bit my lower lips, shaking my head slowly. He turned around, and I heaved a sigh of relief, thinking he was about to leave the room, but he only started to walk around the room.
“Is he asleep again?” He suddenly asked as he went close to the window, looking outside. Words ran out of my mouth as I sat there dumbfounded. I only managed to nod my head in affirmation, but he didn't seem to notice I nodded, and he asked again.
“I said is he sleeping again?” He asked, but this time with a sharp tone, accompanied by a bit of anger. I knew better than to nod again at this time.
