Chapter 11. Lying

“Thank you…” I gave him a small smile after he handed it to me, and I went back inside the bathroom to put on the shirt he lent me.
The shirt smelled a mix of fabric and Enzo’s musk cologne, and I had to control myself not to sniff the addictive scent.
The moment I walked out, Enzo was gone.
I roamed my eyes around his bedroom, looking for my bag. Although I was unable to recall where I had placed it, I was certain that I had forgotten to bring it with me when he brought me upstairs last night.
I might’ve left it in his car or in the living room.
I shrugged my shoulders as I walked out of his room, and down the stairs. When my gaze spotted my bag on the couch, I breathed a sigh of relief. Not only was my phone there, but also my bank card, and some money. They were the most important things in my life right now.
