Chapter 185. First Kiss

Kaden scooped me up in his arms and carried me to the shower room at the back of their house, both of us drenched and me still sniffling and coughing a bit. I couldn’t believe he actually did that.

“Do you feel better now?” he asked as he set me down under the water.

I nodded, burying my face in his shirt.

“Alright, time for a shower. I’ll take you home afterward,” he said, trying to step back, but I pouted. “You don’t want to be all grumpy, do you?”

I shook my head and looked up at him. “I’m never grumpy, especially not with you.”

Kaden let out a sigh and grabbed the handheld showerhead, directing it at my head. I gasped as the cold water cascaded over me. I stood there, mesmerized by how incredibly handsome and confidently intimidating he looked. He placed the showerhead back and reached for the lavender scented shampoo, pouring some into his hand.

I bit my lip as he started massaging my hair with his long fingers,
