Chapter 80
Summer POV
I woke to the sound of an axe hitting wood. It was still six in the morning what’s with all the noise? Yet the sun didn’t seep into the cabin. It was gloomy like the sky wanted to cry but it was holding it all in. Ezra wasn’t in the bed with me so I assumed the noise was him. I slipped into his shirt and put on my bunny slippers.
I passed my wedding dress on the chair in the corner of the room. It was neatly laid on the chair. It was so beautiful I can’t believe I couldn’t wear it again.
Ezra booked a cosy cabin near a river in the middle of nowhere. The next cabin was miles away so we weren’t totally alone out here. It was a romantic getaway. I didn’t think we’d have a honeymoon because we’ve lived together for so long.
“Should you be chopping wood shirtless?” I called out from the front porch.
He paused and straightened his spine— his back muscles
“Shouldn’t you be resting?”
I smiled. I closed the distance and kissed him.
