Chapter 125. Promising Him

“Quit the drama, you look beautiful, and I love it,” he said, and I smiled in return. He always knew how to make me love myself even more. He didn’t make me feel insecure about my body, but he helped me embrace the different body I now have compared to before.

“Well, let me help you with your suit. I’m sure it’s caught all the dust in that closet,” I teased, and he laughed as I helped him put on his suit, even if I knew he could do it himself.

“Just tell me you love seeing me in a suit,” he teased, and I laughed hard at his words. Soon, we were done and ready to go. I smiled at him. It was like a fairy tale movie; the only difference was that I couldn’t guarantee a happy ending.

The more I thought of it, the more I pushed it to the back of my mind. I couldn’t be sad anymore. I had to focus on today and the joy that lay ahead of me, and forget the sadness that may
