Chapter 126. Cry of a Child
The wedding was a success, and I was happy with how it ended. We celebrated with our workers as they married and drank. I was too exhausted to go on by evening, and Damien took me back inside to rest.
“I would do anything to be able to lie in bed. I wonder when this baby will come out. I am exhausted,” I giggled, and Damien chuckled.
“Soon, you don’t need to be,” he said as he took the plates away. I held myself up to go to the bathroom. And as soon as I walked in, I went to ease myself, and before I could even remove my clothes, I felt my water break.
My eyes widened, and I tried to calm my nerves.
“Damien,” I called out, and I heard his footsteps approaching.
“Are you okay in there? Do you need help?” he asked, and I tried so hard to calm my nerves.
