Chapter 63. Threats
She seemed quite displeased to be here. I could tell it was her mother who had forced her to be here against her will. Before I could say a word, Marian approached me excitedly and sat next to me.
"I can see you are exhausted," Marian said with concern, observing me closely. "You don't seem like you had any sleep last night," she said with a frown on her face.
I nodded in agreement, feeling drained. "Yeah, I had a bad dream about... never mind," I lied with a smile on my face, I knew I had a rough night that I didn't want to think about.
Sabrina interjected, giggling. " She probably dreamed about Lucas cutting her into two pieces tonight !"I could see a smirk forming on her face as the words left her lips.
