Chapter 62. Wedding Preparations
“I think I should be going to bed. I have to be ready for tomorrow,” I voiced out in an attempt to dismiss my mother.
“Why? You don’t want to hear what I have to say now, huh?” she said as she glanced at me.
“That’s your business, Mum. I have tomorrow and the rest of my life to worry about—a mess you put me in,” I commented, and she rolled her eyes at me.
“You don’t get to dismiss your mother. I leave when I want to,” she insisted, and I took off my towel and put on my nightwear, getting into bed and making sure to turn off the night light.
“Aren’t you going to ask me what happened?” she asked, and I rolled my eyes.
“It doesn’t matter. I am getting married tomorrow, and I need my rest,” I snapped rudely at her as I covered myself with the sheet.
