Chapter 67. The Aisle

Brian stood still as I left him halfway to the aisle and walked down to Lucas on my own, the murmurs increased as Brian was left standing, the shock was evident on his face.

As soon as I stood before Lucas, I gently placed my hands into his. I have never felt so excited as I felt like blood pumping through my veins because of the actions I had just done. The church was in an uproar as Brian recovered from the shock and walked out of the church.

“What the fuck are you playing at,” Lucas growled slowly as he glared at me.

“I just expressed my joy of leaving that family, that's all, I didn’t know it would shock him as much as it did, forgive me,” I said and Lucas' eyes narrowed at me, He didn’t say a word.

The ceremony began, but my mind raced with what was going to happen now I had told Brian. I looked into Lucas' eyes as he paid attention to mine.
