Lysandra’s POV

I sat there, my gaze fixed on Calista. “You know, I treated all of them well,” she said, her voice low slightly as she glanced at me, as though trying to decipher my thoughts.

My mind, however, was a blank canvas, unable to process the revelation unfolding before me. “I never treated any of them differently. At first, I thought it was funny… because how does this happen?” A nervous laugh escaped her lips.

She shook her head slowly. “Zane… You know your brother was always known for not showing interest in his fangirls, despite being the football captain,” she cleared her throat, her gaze fixed intently on mine.

Somehow, I didn’t want to hear about my brother in this context, though I knew it wasn’t Calista’s fault. I still feel uncomfortable with this situation, especially since she didn’t tell me quickly.
