Chapter 41

Xandros quickly stopped at the airport parking area to wait for his brother Mateo’s arrival. It had been almost two weeks since he had returned from Coron to Manila. During those two weeks, he had tried to forget the girl who had captured his heart. Despite his efforts to stop thinking about Ameira, he often found himself sitting at his friend Gael’s bar, scanning each woman he saw, hoping to spot her. But he was always disappointed.

Xandros had also discovered that the photo of Ameira was missing from his phone. It felt like the sky and earth had collapsed on him because that was his only hope of seeing Ameira again, but now that hope was gone.

He sighed deeply before taking out his cell phone from his pants pocket and composing a message to send to Mateo.

To: Bro Mateo

“Just got here at the parking area. I’ll wait for you.”
