Ameira’s POV
I noticed Lexie furrowing her brow, her expression a mix of confusion and concern, as if she didn’t quite understand what I had just said. Her furrowed brow only deepened my own growing sense of unease.
“What do you mean?” Lexie asked me, her voice tinged with a hint of worry.
I took a moment to gather my thoughts, realizing that my words might have come across as cryptic. “I just mean... we should forget everything that happened between the two of us in Coron. Because I do intend to make amends with his brother. That’s all,” I replied, my voice filled with a mix of determination and uncertainty.
Lexie’s eyes narrowed slightly as she processed my response. “I think, in my opinion, he’s the type of person who won’t easily forget what happened between you. I can say that he’s pretty determined to find you,” she said, her gaze fixed firmly on me, her words carrying an air of warning.
