Ameira’s POV
The entire journey with Mateo, I kept my eyes closed. Even though it was my first time riding a helicopter, and I wanted to enjoy the moment, it was already nighttime, and I couldn’t see much around me, so I chose to keep my eyes shut. Perhaps during those hours, Mateo thought I was asleep, but the truth was, I was lost in my own thoughts.
As the helicopter’s engines hummed in the background, I couldn’t help but mull over Mateo’s words earlier. The revelation about Xandros not being their true sibling had thrown me off balance. It was like a whirlwind of conflicting emotions swirling within me.
