Chapter 54

Ameira’s POV

I don’t know what time I fell asleep after Mateo brought me to my room. I didn’t even get to explore the entire room because I immediately rested, not realizing how deeply I slept. I only woke up when I heard a soft knock from outside the room. Luckily, my sleep wasn’t too deep, so I heard it immediately.

“Come in,” I softly said as I slowly sat up from lying down. I waited for the door to open, and it gradually did.

A simple smile greeted me from Mateo. I quickly noticed that he had already changed into his clothes, wearing just a plain shirt and trunks. Meanwhile, I was still wearing the same outfit as before because, as I mentioned, I went straight to rest earlier.

“Hey, did I wake you up?” he asked while smiling.

“Not really,” I replied.
